Rhodes Reason (born April 19, 1930, in Glendale, California) is an American actor.

Reason is the younger brother of actor Rex Reason, whom he strongly resembles, to the point that many have mistakenly assumed that they were twins. Rhodes Reason is two years younger.

Biography

Reason made his acting start at age 18 in Romeo and Juliet, directed by Charles Laughton. He has appeared in over 230 roles in television, movies and stage works. Notable starring roles were King Kong Escapes and the television series White Hunter (1958), and as Sheriff Will Mayberry in the ABC drama series Bus Stop with Marilyn Maxwell and Richard Anderson. His numerous guest appearances include Death Valley Days (1952), Maverick (1957 episode "Ghost Rider" with James Garner), Tombstone Territory (1957 episode "Ambush at Gila Gulch"), Perry Mason (1957), 77 Sunset Strip (1958),The Time Tunnel (1966), Star Trek (in the episode "Bread and Circuses") (1966), Here's Lucy (1968) and many more. His feature film appearances include Yellowstone Kelly (1959) and A Fever in the Blood (1961). In the early 1980s, he starred in the Broadway musical Annie, playing Daddy Warbucks for nearly three years.

Reason is an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and is currently retired and living in Palm Springs.
